We inspect, measure and record dimensions of all cylinder bores, before and after remanufacture to insure compliance with applicable piston tolerances and specifications.

Cylinder bores cross hatch to retain oil, while allowing the piston rings to slide over the mostly smooth surface and seal against the pressure of combustion gases. while also resulting in lower oil consumption by the engine.
